Three Ways to Belong
Whether you’re new to faith, a longtime believer, or called to active ministry — IJNM has a place and a role for you.
Ally
Supporters and affiliates who partner with IJNM without full membership commitment. Welcome to remain rooted in your existing denomination or home church while walking alongside us.
- Free to join — no membership fees
- Attend Ministry meetings at least 3× per month
- Study Ministry classes
- Contribute to local church and essential bills
- Keep worshipping at your home church or denomination — no need to leave
- May transition to full membership at any time
Member
The foundation of our community — active participants in local church life.
- Attend local church meetings at least 2× per month
- Give to the local church
- Contribute toward essential ministry bills
- Participate in assigned small group
- Grow toward Assistant Minister or Ministry roles over time
Ministry
Active clergy and ministry leaders — Ministers, Assistant Ministers, and Evangelists.
- Attend Ministry Meetings and ministry appearances
- Navigate obstacles in service and leadership
- Financial support responsibilities
- Complete Assistant Minister training
- Contribute to local churches and essential bills

Three Application Types
Each application corresponds to the membership tier you’re pursuing. All applications are submitted by mail to IJNM.
Membership Application
For individuals and families who want to become active Members of an IJNM small group — attending regularly, giving, and growing in the community.
Ministry Application
For those called to active leadership — Ministers, Assistant Ministers, and Evangelists. Includes a background check and additional review process.
Ally Application
For supporters who want to partner with IJNM without full membership commitment. Free to join — attend meetings, study, and contribute as you are able.
Application Requirements
All applicants must provide the following. Ministry applicants have one additional step.
All Applicants
- ✓ State-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- ✓ Proof of U.S. citizenship
- ✓ Name exactly as it appears on your state-issued ID
- ✓ Current mailing address
- ✓ Phone number (home or cell)
- ✓ Marital status
Ministry Applicants Only
- ✓ All items listed above
- ✓ Felony disclosure (if applicable)
- ✓ Background check authorization
- ✓ Background check conducted by IJNM before placement
Background checks protect our members — especially children and youth in our groups. We conduct these checks to maintain a safe, trustworthy ministry environment.
How to Apply
You can apply two ways — online through our secure message form, or by mail to IJNM. Either way, indicate which application type you’re submitting (Membership, Ministry, or Ally) and include the required information listed above.
Once received, an IJNM Minister will follow up with you to discuss next steps, connect you with a local group, and guide you through the process.
Prepare Your Information
Gather all required documents: state ID, proof of citizenship, address, phone numbers, and marital status.
Write Your Application Letter
State which type you’re applying for, include all required information, and tell us a bit about yourself and your faith.
Submit — Online or by Mail
Apply online through our message form, or mail your letter to the address at right. Ministry applicants should note their availability for a background check.
We’ll Be in Touch
A Minister will contact you to confirm receipt, answer questions, and connect you with your group.

Membership

Assistant Minister
Or would you like to be an Assistant Minister — to help the Minister teach Members and shepherd them?
Minister
Or would you eventually like to be a Minister — to help lead and shepherd them?
Salvation
If you have never given your life to Jesus, the path is simple and biblical:
- Acknowledge that all have sinned. (Romans 3:23)
- Understand the consequence of sin. (Romans 6:23)
- Receive God’s free gift of salvation. (Romans 6:23)
- See the proof of God’s love. (Romans 5:8)
- Receive salvation by confessing and believing. (Romans 10:9–10)
The outcome: peace with God and no condemnation. (Romans 5:1 • Romans 8:1 • Ephesians 2:8–9)
Can You Help Us Build?
As IJNM grows, we are looking for people who feel called to help. If any of these describe you, let us know:
- Do you have a piece of land (in your town) to donate toward building a Ministry Building for In Jesus’ Name Ministries?
- Are you a licensed commercial contractor who can help build Ministry Buildings?
- Are you experienced in carpentry, brickmasonry, and/or other building skills?
- Are you interested in becoming a Member, an Assistant Minister, or a Minister serving a small group of Christians?
- Are you ready to learn from the Bible?
