The IJNM Vision

“A Nondenominational Ministry that Loves our Lord Jesus and Worships Him in Small Groups!”

The Core Idea

Small Groups. Big Impact.

The vision of In Jesus’ Name Ministries is simple and also Biblical: A few Christians come together in small groups, worship Our Lord Jesus in homes and/or locally-funded buildings, grow in their faith, and then multiply.

One or more of the Christians that feel called are trained by IJNM, and are eventually ordained by IJNM.

This is not a top-down church model where a few do ministry for the many. This is a body model — where every member has a role, every home can be a church, and every believer is a potential minister. Ministry multiplies from within.

The IJNM Ministers and Assistant Ministers are excited about Members getting involved and ordained in IJNM.

From three people in a living room to a statewide network of house churches — the growth engine is built into the structure itself.

The Growth Engine

5 Steps: Member to Minister — and Back Again

The genius of the IJNM model is that the leadership structure IS the growth strategy. Every step produces more people who can lead others.

1

Join a Group of Twelve

A person starts as a Member in a small group of up to 12. This is where faith becomes community — real, accountable, and personal.

2

Grow into an Assistant Minister

Members who are ready may step into the Assistant Minister role — helping Ministers lead, preaching, and shepherding others in the group.

3

Become a Minister

Assistant Ministers who are called and trained by the ministry may step up and lead their own group as a Minister — preaching, overseeing Assistant Ministers, and building up members.

4

Encourage Others to Serve

Ministers actively encourage every member toward growth. The goal is not to have a congregation — it’s to raise up more leaders.

5

Ministers Recruit and Multiply

Ministers recruit new Members, raise up new Assistant Ministers, and release new Ministers — expanding the reach and depth of the ministry without end.

Everyone starts somewhere. Everyone can lead.

Our Foundation

The Early Church Pattern

IJNM doesn’t follow the model of the mega-church or the denominational institution. We follow the pattern of the first Christians.

Small Bible Study

A person begins in a small Bible study of 3 or more people — family, friends, or neighbors. Size can grow, but intimacy is the foundation.

Led by an Ordained Minister

Each group is led by one of our Ministers. Members pool their resources to fund local ministry — collectively, not corporately.

Grow Together

Christians share Bible studies with others, building more Ministry Buildings as the community grows — spreading the Gospel locally, then regionally.

How Buildings Get Funded

The Shared Expense Model

No single house church carries the financial burden of a Ministry Building alone. Each house church contributes a flat amount per month toward shared building costs, making ownership and upkeep achievable for even the smallest community.

This is the early church model: the body pools its resources so that no single member or family is overwhelmed, and the building serves everyone equally.

Giving in IJNM comes in four forms: General Donations (operating costs), Building Fund (construction and maintenance), Tithing (directed toward orphans, widows, and those in need, as Scripture directs), and Church Vote Offerings (approved by the congregation for specific needs).

Salvation and Sanctification

Salvation and sanctification are gifts of God, they cannot be bought. No one is charged for spiritual growth, teaching, or ministry access. Giving is voluntary and Holy Spirit-led.

Sample Building Budget

Electricity ~$250/mo
Water ~$100/mo
Other Expenses ~$150/mo
Total $500/mo

Shared across 10 house churches

$50/mo per church

How We’re Organized

Statewide Model

IJNM is built to scale locally, starting with small house churches that multiply community by community across the state.

IJNM

The central governing body. Sets doctrine, oversees all locations, manages accountability across the entire network. Located in Lugoff, SC.

Ministry Buildings

Simple buildings, funded locally, where house churches can meet and where leaders are trained.

House Churches

The heart of IJNM, small house churches of twelve or fewer, meeting in homes and simple local spaces.

Ministry Personnel

Ministers, Assistant Ministers and Evangelists. who serve across all levels of the network.

The First Goal

South Carolina First

IJNM’s stated first objective is to plant a self-sustaining house church in every community across South Carolina. The state is not a limit, it’s a launching pad.

Because each house church costs almost nothing to start, a Minister, a living room, and a few committed believers, blanket statewide coverage is achievable. No building purchase required. No salary overhead. The model was built for scale.

Once South Carolina is established, a small house church in every community, the pattern repeats in other states. The engine is already designed to replicate.

The math is simple: If each house church serves 12 people and meets in a home, IJNM can cover an entire state one group at a time, with each new group costing almost nothing to plant.

Then Beyond

Once South Carolina is covered, the same model expands to every state. Same structure. Same costs. Same growth engine.

What We Believe

Core Beliefs

IJNM is built on clear, biblical conviction. These are our foundational beliefs, drawn directly from Scripture.

The Trinity

We believe in God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit — one God in three persons. (John 5:7)

Jesus Christ

Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Salvation is found in Him alone. We center everything — worship, study, community, on His name.

Scripture

We believe the Bible is God’s Word, studied faithfully through its original Hebrew and Greek foundations — Old and New Testament together.

Small Groups

Worshipping in groups of 12 or fewer is both biblical and practical. This is how the early church flourished and how we flourish today.

Love for All People

We believe in the love of God for all people — men, women, families, singles, teens, and children, and we extend that love to our community.

Spiritual Gifts

We believe God gives every believer gifts and talents to be used for His glory — through preaching, teaching, singing, serving, and more.

Statement of Faith
